No child should carry their life in a bin bag. A Comfort Case is more than just a bag of items. It is a message to each child that receives one - YOU MATTER. Thousands of children enter, move around and leave the care system with their belongings in bin bags, bags for life or with nothing at all. Latest data shows that 13-15 year olds are now the biggest age group entering care. We want to do more. With your help we can. You share our belief that children and their belongings should be treated with respect and dignity. You understand that it can be difficult, awkward or embarrassing to ask for toiletries from a stranger. You know the value of a warm blanket that feels like a hug or makes a room feel more like a home, and a teddy to cuddle in the dark when you feel scared and alone. Local Authorities and partner organisations order Comfort Cases from us to hold in stock so they are ready and prepared to be given to a child in their local area. Each donation of a case will directly help one child in care.
As children and young people in care are often highly affected by trauma, it is rare that we get to give the cases directly to them. Your items will be shipped to a social worker, care worker or charity who are our trusted delivery partners, ensuring that the children who are most in need, receive your donations.
Our baby to toddler bag is for ages 0-24 months. For children we prepare bags for 3-10 years and our young adults or teens are for those aged 11-18 years.
We have included any VAT and shipping in all our fees.
